Depuis les \u00e9motions romantiques de leur album \u00ab\u00a0Traversant\u00a0\u00bb, sorti il y a trois ans, le duo a sublim\u00e9 son chant et ses compositions pour un nouvel album riche en nuances.<\/span><\/p>


<\/span>Sophie Verbeeck, artiste belge aux multiples talents, et Bernard Tanguy alias BT93, ma\u00eetre des harmonies r\u00e9tros, se retrouvent une fois de plus pour explorer les m\u00e9andres de nos \u00e2mes tortur\u00e9es par le sens de la vie. Ici, Sophie virevolte en fran\u00e7ais de V\u00e9ronique Sanson \u00e0 France Gall en passant par Brigitte Fontaine mais trouve aussi en elle la dramaturgie pudique d\u2019une Nico, se met en danger sur la voix, cherche le relief, sort des sentiers battus, elle va chercher des notes l\u00e0 ou on ne les attend pas.<\/span><\/p>

La chanson \u00ab\u00a0A\u00a0\u00bb, la plus impressionniste dans son \u00e9criture, trouve sa po\u00e9sie dans ses coups de pinceaux verbaux. De nombreuses phrases se rapportent au m\u00eame th\u00e8me, mais c\u2019est en \u00e9coutant la totalit\u00e9 des paroles que l\u2019on en d\u00e9crypte le sens.<\/span><\/p>


<\/span>Dans la m\u00e9lodie de \u00ab\u00a0Des oiseaux dans ma t\u00eate\u00a0\u00bb, r\u00e9sonnent les \u00e9chos du deuil et des transformations, envelopp\u00e9s dans une harmonie po\u00e9tique. La voix \u00e9mouvante de Sophie nous guide \u00e0 travers un paysage musical o\u00f9 chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment – glace, feu, eau – puisent leur inspiration dans la m\u00e9lancolie musicale de Radiohead<\/span><\/p>


<\/span>Ainsi surgit \u00ab\u00a0Le Prince de Cendres\u00a0\u00bb, un voyage musical et spirituel transcendant les obscurit\u00e9s de l’exp\u00e9rience intime de Sophie, portant en son sein les cendres encore chaudes de son p\u00e8re au c\u0153ur de cette nouvelle \u00e9pop\u00e9e. <\/span><\/p>

Bernard, l’artisan m\u00e9ticuleux de ces harmonies, qui nous entrainent plus loin que la pop, confie avoir insuffl\u00e9 une \u00e9nergie incroyable dans la cr\u00e9ation de cet album, fa\u00e7onnant les arrangements avec une pr\u00e9cision minutieuse ; une pointe de techno, des violons authentiques (Mathilde Vrech et Caroline Pauvert), des guitares inventives (Fran\u00e7ois Poggio) et m\u00eame une touche de trompette (Camille Passeri). <\/span><\/p>


<\/span>Dans cet ha\u00efku de mots choisis avec soin et de m\u00e9lodies surprenantes, \u00ab\u00a0Le Prince de Cendre\u00a0\u00bb recherche une sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 ac\u00e9r\u00e9e, s’affranchissant des conventions pour plonger dans une m\u00e9ditation profonde sur notre monde. \u00c0 travers ces morceaux arc-en-ciel, Bernard et Sophie nous invitent \u00e0 une pause r\u00e9flexive sur la fragilit\u00e9 inn\u00e9e de l’humanit\u00e9, une odyss\u00e9e en qu\u00eate de sens traversant les oc\u00e9ans pour mieux se reconstruire. <\/span><\/p>
